2008-7-29 2005-4-5 Welcome to the Grand Old Farmhouse. We would like to invite you into our home in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country to share all the wonders of this old house. In the Fall of 1999 we purchased this house to establish an herb farm and bed & breakfast. Built in the early 1800's by Allyn Boardman, it was one of the first "Grand Houses" in the Ithaca, New York area. It was built true to the style of Northern New England farmhouses, connecting structures in a "Big House, Little House, Outhouse, Barn" configuration. The house is situated on approximately 40 acres of prime farmland which has been continually under cultivation for the past 200 years. Bordered with hedgerows, it is sited ideally for establishing an organic environment.
